AMC was formed in 1954 with the merger of the Hudson Motor Car Company and the Nash-Kelvinator Corporation, itself formed from the earlier merger of the Nash car company and an appliance maker (more on Nash later). A five-image set issued by the USPS (United States Postal Service), the America on the Move: Muscle Cars Forever draws inspiration from an era that began nearly 50 years ago and lasted for roughly 10 years. During the same time the United States Postal Service adjusts to the new norm, a time many American automobile fans had cherished is honoured as part of a commemorative stamp series in 2013. Seven-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion Richard Petty and son Kyle Petty unveiled the look of the special edition stamps. The elimination of Saturday mail delivery in the United States signifies a change in culture where messages, we were years ago content to arrive in several days, can be shared in minutes. In five stamps depicting different vehicles, an era of uncompromised performance and carefree motoring is brought back to life. Though some people will be their best not to accept unwanted progress, it is reasonable to eventually accept and even celebrate what we have gained from that past.

I am looking to buy a late 60's or early 70's muscle car like a nova, mustang, chevelle, camaro, firebird cars like that. I recently found a 1970 AMC Javelin online but i dont know very much about AMC's please provide info on pros and cons or what notthanks!

A: It is a GREAT muscle car! Very underrated as well as undervalued. It was as good as any Camaro or Mustang in general. Sure, there were some very special GM and Ford cars, but most were very similar in content and form. I wouldn't hesitate to own an AMC. They are special in their own way.
