A subcompact classic

With the 35th annual Fergus Falls Classic Car Show coming up on Sunday, Gary Froehlich is busy getting his cars ready for action, including his 1959 AMC Metropolitan Convertible. This car show will be even more special for Froehlich because the Metropolitan is this year’s featured car. “When I was a kid I used to pick up car magazines just to look at all of the different cars,” he said. Being shorter and having a smaller wheelbase than the Volkswagen Beetle, the Metropolitan is considered the first subcompact car, said Froehlich.

A: When I was little, my dad bought a second-hand Gremlin. It was yellow and had a column-mounted manual shifter. I used to be embarrassed in it when I was little, but I wish I had it now. I'd probably pimp it out. (answered by Duh!!! on February 05, 9097)

A: One of my best friends had a gremlin. It is a good thing I don't see him, we would still harass him. I remember those days very well. (answered by magiccharm on February 05, 7299)
