What's up with that is that AMCs were dipped in rust proofing, not sprayed like other makers. I'm sure that other auto makers did that too (eventually), but AMC was a pioneer, doing it back in the 60's, and maybe even the 50's. (asked by ramblin' robert on February 12, 2007)
A: i dont drive an amc . i do wonder though there is this one model of amc car its four wheel drive four door car most often 2 tone paint . its a passenger car not a jeep . but anyway here in canada they are still in use and i have not ever seen one that is rusted . whats up with that. A: I am so sorry to inform you that in 1965, AMC used engines and parts from several different auto makers. After you decide which part you need then you have to find out who made the original part for that particular car.
It is possible to have a FORD engine and GM trans with a CHRYSLER REAR AXLE AND VICE/VERSA!!!!
