Honda recalls nearly 182000 2005-2006 Pilots and Acura MDX and RL models ...

Honda of America has issued a recall for some 101,000 model year 2005 Honda Pilots, 60,000 model year 2005-2006 Acura MDXs, and 21,000 model year 2005 Acura RLs for a defect involving the car’s Vehicle Stability Assist, or just plain stability... Their investigation found that a specific capacitor in the VSA’s computer may have been damaged during manufacturing, which could cause the system to Honda and Acura dealers have been mandated to fix the issue free of charge. Honda will also inspect various electrical ground points for the VSA computer to make sure that the unintended braking issues don’t occur from poorly managed electrical signals. No crashes or bad experiences have been reported, however Honda has confirmed to have received several complaints of malfunctions with the system. And that fix is the installation of a new wiring sub-harness.

Q:

how much should i pay for 2006 acura MDX touring and how much should i pay for a 2006 jeep commander limited?

i like both cars... but im not sure which one to get and how much to pay for.. i dont want to go the dealer and pay too much for it..
for the 2006 MDX touring i have a offer of 34g and for the JEEP i have a offer of 35g ... which one is a bettter deal and do u think i can get a better price on it?
(asked by jippy on December 01, 2006)

A: Get the Acura, the Jeep really has nothing at all going for it except a Hemi that sucks gas to the tune of 12mpg. The dealer probably is willing to work on the price of the 06 Acura as the 07 is a redesign. So 34k for an Acura seems good. The Acura is also regarded as a premium SUV and the Jeep is basically the box the Cherokee came in. The Acura will also hold it's value a good deal longer and will actually take a curve without feeling like it will tip over. Acura's also have excellent reliability ratings, and if past vehicles are determing factors, the Jeep will be nothing special. (answered by XUSAAAgent on December 02, 2006)

A: Wow,I'm not a fan of Acuras although I hera their pretty decent vehicles.
I am though a big Jeep nut.I suppose the Commander has the Hemi?If not you're getting ripped off.Either way,it's arip off.Lousy fuel economy,3rd row seating is a big fat joke.An off road capability is less than desirable. (answered by freebird_237 on December 01, 2006)

A: Everyone is right, your battery is dead. Where you trying to figure out the car with the key in th on position with the engine off? This is what happen to me in Jan. when I bought my '09 MDX sport. I was trying to figure out the navigation, but the thing uses so much energy and drained the battery. See if it only needs a charge, or if you need a new one. Remember, you have to enter the radio and navigation code (if applicable) since it locks when the battery dies. A: Your battery is dead. Did you leave the lights on or something else that drained the battery? Charge the battery and see what happens. (answered by Ron G on April 26, 2009)

Q:

2006 Acura MDX. How much should I sell for?

I have an 2006 Acura MDX Touring and Navigation with 27,000 miles. What do you think is a fair price to sell for?
(asked by wonderingboutmycar on August 18, 2007)

A: Based on the KBB value your car is worth $32k assuming it's in excellent condition. I would post a listing asking for $35k to give you some room for bargaining. Good luck! (answered by Asif R on August 18, 2007)
