Q:

Can I get someone to look up an Acura CL radio security code for me?

I had to change my wifes battery, and since we bought the car used, the radio wont work and I don't have to radio security code to get it to work. I called the local Acura Dealer and they won't give it to me unless I bring it down there for them to remove and charge me for labor.

Serial number on top of stereo: M1C402033
Thanks!

A: you have to get the model of the radio and serial number
go to the acura dealer any , use the parts department and explain to the clerk that you replace the battery be ready to prove ownership of the vehicle ,be nice and the code will be free
good luck (answered by conejote_99 on September 12, 2007)

A: uhh... looking at the owners manual maybe... or even checking the internet... BUT the best way to know for sure is to take it out... its not that hard... just take off the panel and remove the screws that hold the radio... lol my radio didnt have screws idk if yours does but with mine there was 4 holes on each end kinda like this [: :] one that looks like that have clips holding the radio, so what i did was i cut a hanger (theres a tool out there for this but i didnt want to spend money) into 2 peices that look like a "U". insert them into the holes and pull them outward and pull the radio out at the same time... mine was kinda stuck so what i did was i removed the glove compartment and reached around and pushed it from the back while using the hanger on the side closest to me... A: This is not a problem at all. You have two options here:

1.) Purchase an aftermarket wire harness. This will plug into your car harness and have bare wire on the other side (color coded) that you will connect to your deck. One of these can be easily picked up from any stereo shop and even walmart.

2.) You can chop of your car harness and connect the wires directly to your deck. I do not however recommend this way because it will take you twice as long to do it (you will have to figure out which wire goes to what) and is not really worth it in the end.
