The new Alfa Romeo Giulietta will be replacing the outgoing 147 some time after it debuts at the Geneva Motor Show next March. If Fiat does ultimately decide to offer the brand through its Chrysler alliance, this will probably one of the models. The sporty five-door hatch will have five engines available at launch and four will be turbocharged and include automatic start-stop. The turbos will be split between gas and diesel burners with the spark ignition models displacing 1.4-liters and producing 120 and 170 hp (with MultiAir electronic valve control). The 1.6-liter and 2.0-liter diesels produce 105 hp and 170 hp. All of the engines are Euro-V compliant and the gas engines will likely appear in future

What does the third lever to the lower-left of the steering wheel do in an Alfa Romeo 147?

I would love to know what the lever under the indicators lever in my Alfa 147 does!! It has a + - switch on it and a button reading RES. Can anyone please help? :D

A: It's either the cruise control adjustment (plus for FASTER, minus for SLOWER, res for RESUME) or it's your ejection seat. (answered by MISTER TWO on August 10, 2009)

Q:

Clicking noise when trying to start a 2003 reg Alfa Romeo 147 2.0 ts, it has been stood for nearly 2years?

When trying to start the car, it wil try to start slightly and then start clicking, while it is clicking the lights dim etc, also the green light on the battery is not shining, everything looks fine to me, does it just need a new battery or is it something more serious?

A: new battery if you cant get that one to hold a charge....if you keep trying to start it with a dead battery it may damage the starter...put the battery on a charger and see if it will hold a charge.... (answered by on August 11, 2009)
