How can I connect my Ipod Touch with my Aston Martin DB7 Vantage?
My dad bought the Aston a few years ago know and its incredible but after listening to the same six CDs a hundred times I thought it needed a new sound system. The radio is easily removed however has no apparent audio inputs (not even a headphone outlet). Is it possible to buy an adaptor or perhaps a different radio so I can connect an ipod to the car? Q:
What is the difference between the aston martin db7 and db9?
Which is the vantage and which is the vanquish? (asked by Komanda on August 26, 2008)
A: The DB7 was in production from '94 to '99 and featured a 3.2-litre straight six engine that produced 335bhp. Performance was average and 60mph was reached in 5.8s, 100mph 14.4s and had a top speed of 157mph. In '00 Aston revamped the car and tuned the cars suspension and gave it a new engine to give it the supercar pace its gorgeous styling deserved and called it the DB7 Vantage. The engine came from the Vanquish which was the company's flagship model. Its 6-litre V12 produced 460bhp but was dialled down to 420bhp for the Vantage to keep Vanquish customers happy. Performance was seriously improved hitting 60mph in 4.9s, 100mph in 11.2s and had a top speed of 185mph. In '05 production for the DB7 Vantage stopped and the DB9 was born to replace it. It had the same V12 as the Vantage/Vanquish but the power was increased to 470bhp. Production for the Vanquish ceased in '07 and the new flagship model for Aston is the DBS, a 510bhp hardcore version of the DB9 and carries a hefty price tag of £160,000 (approx $297,390).
