Audi A5 gets deserving tune-up - gulfnews.com June 01, 2011
Our comparison between the Cadillac CTS-V Coupé and Audi RS5 ended up with the RS5 just managing to snatch the top spot from the Caddy (although BMW's M3 is still the best), but where does that leave the S5? The stylish GT didn't go down too well with
Two new machines from Audi and BMW each offer a very different take on ... - TODAYonline February 05, 2948
And two of the worst culprits are Audi and BMW. But hey, we'll skip the clunky cognomens for now and cut straight to it. First there's the Audi A7 Sportback, as it's officially known, which is simply a larger version of the Audi A5 Sportback.

Audi has confirmed that it will be adding a new four-cylinder engine to its A5 line, which it claims reduces fuel consumption by over 20 per cent compared to the engine it replaces. According to Audi's official figures, the new engine pushes the A5 to 62mph in around 7. As a result, the engine promises to make better use of 'waste' heat, improving efficiency still further and making the engine more responsive from a cold start. Much of the improved efficiency comes as a result of Audi's FSI direct-injection system, along with port-injection for partial load scenarios. The new engine also benefits from a redesigned and fully-electric cooling system, which sees the traditional water pump replaced with a pair of rotating cores in a single unit and driven by a small electric motor.
Q:
A: I own the A4 (not A5), but in general they are very similar in terms of technology and quality.
The quality is OK (not great). There's some complaint with electronics. The car is high maintenance car. Everything is very unique to Audi, making them almost impossible for independent shops working on them.
Also because of the complexity, the labor charges are usually very high. Also the parts are more expensive.
Ex: My timing belt (and water pump) cost $1300. My honda civic's timing belt cost just $350.
Ex2: The cat converter cost $800 (parts only).
I would NOT buy another Audi again.
Good Luck... (answered by Lover not a Fighter on July 05, 2008)
Q:
A: Buy a tuning computer that hooks up to your ECU to change peak efficiency in Fuel/Air ratios.
Also I would experiment with test pipes.
New free flow intake manifolds.
Bigger injectors.
Better fuel pump.
If you have the 2.0t engine than you could buy a boost controller and if you did that I would recommend bigger injectors and a better cooling system. All bolt ons require tons more other bolt ons. Its a never ending cycle. (answered by crazychristopheo on April 14, 2009)
