Audi and Eminem have reached an agreement over the controversial Audi A6 Avant promotional video. Earlier this year, the famous US rapper filed a cease and desist order against Audi for allegedly using his Grammy Award winning song illegally in the A6 Avant clip shown in Berlin on May 18. An Audi spokesperson yesterday announced Eight Mile Style and Audi AG had ended all legal disputes between the two companies.
What should I look out for when buying an YEAR 2000 Audi A6 Avant quattro 2.5tdi , ?
I´m buying a year 2000-2002 audi A6 2.5tdi quattro privately. What is the most likely problem servicing wise its likely to need money spent on. I heard the timing belt costs a fortune to change . (asked by Tony M on September 08, 2008)
A: cam belts arent too expensive, but they should've been changed every 50k miles or so, despite some dealers saying 60-70k. Also check the windscreen wipers work ok, as this is another common, and expensive, thing that can go wrong. Get one with full service history too. (answered by Glenn B on September 08, 2008)

Anyone have any thoughts on the Audi A6 Avant wagon?
I have been looking at the MBZ GL450 and the Lexus GX 470, but a friend suggested I consider the Audi AWD wagon as well, for all-wheel drive with much better fuel economy. Any thoughts on any of these three would be appreciated. (asked by thecaddy on September 06, 2007)
A: Thanks for asking this question! I am looking at buying a 1998 A6 wagon myself and wondered about it's reputation. So far my investigation has shown an overall satisfaction with the car but a dissatisfaction with the level of dealer service and the cost of dealer service. Gas mileage has been cited as average the acceleration as dull.
For me it is a sharp looking car and highly rated for safety. I need to occasionally haul large items and a pick up/SUV is no longer really needed nor comfortable. (answered by fnsurf on September 10, 2007)
A: for questions on the wagon go to www.audiworld.com most of the people on there have either driven or owned all the vehicles you are listing. I prefer the Audi over all but the Lexus is the most reliable. Audi is the safest. (answered by alex j on September 06, 2007)
