Where can I buy a turbo for an 04 Audi S4?

I've looked everywhere! everything i've found has been for the A4. please give me some links or something.

A: You will not find a turbo kit for a B6 S4 for a few reasons. One, the 4.2L V8 is not suited to be turbo'd, secondly, there is not enough physical space in the engine bay for a turbo to function properly.

I have heard of a rear turbo setup for that model though, but you would need to have the plumbing and maybe the turbo itself custom built. Also, I have heard that it is possible to throw a small turbo at the exhaust manifolds.

But you won't find a company that produces a B6 S4 turbo kit...your best bet is to find a good turbo guy in your area and talk to him about it because it will have to be a custom setup (answered by Scotty Shades on July 30, 2009)

A: This is a major issue with the s-4. I paid about $1500 at the dealership. Don’t go cheap. They need to replace the water pump (to help keep your intercoolers cooled) and they change the alternator while it is apart. They had the car for a whole day. I also had some other stuff done at the same time. Have them check your motor mounts (they have to take them apart anyhow) and see if there is anything else they can do while you have paid them to pull apart your engine.

Just a piece of advice… Call a couple days ahead, and ask for a sales person, see if you can schedule an all day test drive of the new s-4 or RS4, (answered by only_init_4_profit on November 17, 2007)
