Audi S5 Sheds Two Cylinders in Midcycle Refresh
As part of a midcycle refresh for its A5 coupe and convertible range , Audi announced Wednesday that the high-performance S5 model would lose its normally aspirated 354-horsepower V-8 in a trade for the brand’s 333-horsepower supercharged V-6,... The 6, Audi says, is about 20 percent more fuel-efficient than the outgoing 8. Subtle cosmetic tweaks include new steering wheel designs, a new selector for automatic transmissions and a revised finish for the instrument panel and center console. The basic A5 coupe will carry on with the workhorse VW Group turbocharged 2-liter in-line 4 that makes 211 horsepower and 258 pound feet of torque. The 2013 models, which are to be shown at the Frankfurt auto show in September, feature new grilles, front fascias and headlamp designs, and a shift from hydraulic steering to electric power.

A: The basic CTS runs about $41K. Consumer Reports lists nearly every Audi as a car to avoid.
Look at Infiniti or Lexus models if you want something in the $35K to $65K range that will turn heads and last a long time. (answered by Huba on November 15, 2008)
A: the new cadillac cts-v is THE CAR OF THE YEAR it performs great..uses the engine from the corvette zr1...it will kill the s5 in a race...fully loaded..i think somewhere around 60k...lot of $ but a great car for the price still

A: You cant get the factory unit as it has to be pre-wired form the factory. You can, however, get an aftermarket backup camera that you can mount anywhere, even the same basic location as the factory unit. I don't believe that anyone has come out with the install kit to hook it up through your MMI unit though. So it will most likely have to have an external screen somewhere in the car. I know there used to be a company that played around with the MMI screen from the older A8's to hook up a factory deleted TV unit that uses a coaxial cable (the same as the back up cameras), but I don't know if anyone actually came up with a way to do it. I believe they were based out of the United States too. (answered by Kevin J on July 03, 2009)
