LLAO LLAO, Argentina — The 21st running of the 1000 Millas Sport, Argentina’s most prestigious as well as grueling vintage car rally, is over. The parking lot outside the host resort that was once filled with snarling sports cars from times gone by is now a helter-skelter mix of tow-vehicles, trailers and participants loading onto shuttles for the nearby Bariloche airport.

Each vintage car event has its own flavor. Those in Italy are notable for a seeming lack of organization that all comes together at the last minute. American events rarely have organized competition, but instead become cat-and-mouse games between those who want to drive as fast as they can, and the local police who entertain themselves by snagging the speeding sports cars.

What sets the 1000 Millas Sport apart is a mix of very old cars and very new technology. The competition involves short segments of road where the drivers are expected to cover them in times ranging from six seconds to five minutes.

Race windshield cars Austin Healey help?

I want to put a race window on my Datsun roadster or MG kinda like the one on the Healey (see link below) If I could put a Healey window tha'd be so sweet because it's adjustable. Does anyone know where/how I do this? Where can I buy race shields.............thanks!!!

A: which roadster do you have the four or the six cylinder, You could have one fabricated out of lexan, original healy examples will be very expensive (answered by craigmacd on October 27, 2009)
