Then there's Myer's 1963 Avanti, his first Studebaker. DUNCAN FALLS, Ohio - The 13 vintage Studebaker automobiles in Jon Myer's personal garage are. Together, the cars tell the tale of a man who fell into the Studebaker-repair business almost 40. There's the 1980 Avanti owned by a Hollywood heiress who didn't trust anyone to work on it. after Myer moved back to Ohio from California. He does so from his home, about 60miles east of Columbus in Duncan Falls, population. There's a story to each one. on it, but aside from needing a new paint job, it runs as well as the day it rolled off the. five years.
1963 Studebaker Lark, 170ci 3 speed trans. Will a 1960 flathead, overdrive trans work on the 170ci overhead ??

A: I'm going from memory, but as I recall everything should hook right up . Studebaker just converted the old flathead to overhead valves. I've owned Studies with the flathead and the ohv six. Good luck. (answered by ronhawk62 on September 11, 2007)
A: Yes, I put a '60 tranny on a '61 OHV engine. If you don't currently have overdrive, you'll need to hook up the manual cable control and get the switch and throttle linkage to operate the OD solenoid. You better keep in (answered by bikinkawboy on September 13, 2007)
