That the BMW marker resides on the hood of the 318ti is an oddity. There is something unworldly about the cellar-dweller version of the Ultimate Driving
Codenamed ATS, the rear-wheel-drive four-door is aimed directly at the BMW 3-Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Its likely that the ATS will be available with a combination of turbocharged 4-cylinder and V6 engines, although an expected ATS-V high-performance version could be powered by the 6. Technical details are still under wraps, but the design seen in the teaser image taps styling cues from Caddy's popular CTS mid-size sedan. Headlight clusters that appear to stretch nearly halfway up the sides of the hood are a particularly unique and dramatic element.

and during night time (this is switched on by turning the light switch to the left of the center mark).
But even if the manual running lights switch is off, if the car had been programmed to turn on the lights at ignition on,
then the lights will go on. You have to ask your dealer to turn it off from your car/key memory (CKM). Or, if your car has the I-drive, then navigate to settings, and turn it off. Some new E90's can reset their CKM thru the left signal light stalk, but this is a little complicated for owners and it is best for the dealer tech to do it for you.
