Judging from how many 1 Series M coupes have already been crashed, we're not quite sure that extra power is the way to go. Anyway, RevoZport says they can put up to 450 hp into your BMW 1 Series M, which should result in faster acceleration times... If you remove the car's maximum speed limiter, that is. The standard BMW 1 Series M develops 335 hp and 450 Nm of torque from a 3. RevoZport launched today a new upgrade program for BMW's latest M car, the 1 Series M coupe. RevoZport's body kit for the 1 Series M coupe includes a front splitter, a new hood with integrated air vents, anew front grille, side skirts, a rear wing,
Q:
A: They both have a 3.0 liter straight 6 cylinder engine. The 335 has two turbos, increasing the HP from 230 to 300. Yes you can really feel the difference. I don't know if the 335 makes like a more powerful sound or sumthin. Probably not, other than you may be able to hear the turbos. I have driven the 328. Nice car. 335 is the same car, same engine, but with turbos.
I am talking about a new 328, the older ones had the 2.8 liter engine in them. (answered by M333 on March 09, 2008)
Q:
A: Between the 328i and A5, the A5 is better, more powerful, quicker, faster.
Between the S5 and 335i, I would say the 335i is better.
Sure the S4 has more power and a higher unlimited top speed and a quicker 1/4 mile time.
But the 0-60mph times are the same and the 335i is quicker around a race track by less thn 1 second as proven on the tv show Fifth Gear. It is also much cheaper than S5. (answered by C7S on July 20, 2009)
Q:
A: The best way to answer your question is "go schedule a test drive".
Because only you can decide for yourself if the extra power is worth the money... your money.
I'm pretty sure the salesman would be glad to let you try both. I know mine did, and he knew outfront (I told him) that I wasn't in the market for a new BMW, but being an enthusiast, I'm just curious. He was happy to let me try it out; even floor it at from a standing start at the lights...
The major difference is not really the horsepower. It's the torque. The 328i has a regular torque pattern, but the 335i pretty much gives you the max torque from a very low rpm on, and holds it there flat. That's what makes the MOST difference in your "butt dyno" sensation. (answered by Snowie on December 19, 2007)
