Q:

How long will it take for the current BMW E46 M3 to be outdated?

BMW has released information on the all-new M3, how will the prices of the current M3 be affected? Has it already shown, or will it be more so when the new M3's already start rolling? How long will the E46 M3 still look "good" with the new E92 V8 M3's rolling around?

How "worth it" would it be to buy an E46 M3 as of right now?
(asked by X3 on July 04, 2007)

A: If you can afford one now, buy one. You won't save much by waiting a few years for the price to go down, and you'll definitely miss out on having the ultimate driving machine. The E46 will still look good 50 years from now if not longer, just like the 3.0 CSL still looks great, the M1 is still an iconic supercar, and how most people can't believe my E30 M3 is almost 20 years old. This Bimmer is destined to become a classic.

The August 2007 edition of Bimmer magazine is available at bookstores right now, and it has a very in depth M3 Market Update, going over current values and everything else you might want to know about E30s, E36s, and E46s. (answered by preludicrous on July 04, 2007)

A: e30 M3's are still highly sought after. Buying an e46 M3 now will give you plenty of time before it is outdated.

Prices of them will come down because of the e92.

Get it! You'll be happy.

I have an e36 M3... a lot of people think that it is a brand new car when it is almost 10 years old. (answered by bizlar2002 on July 04, 2007)

Q:

How can I raise my hp on my bmw m3 e46?

I have a bmw m3 e46 343 hp and would like to know how can i bring up the horsepower without installing a turbo, supercharger, or nitrous? What can I do? and how much hp can i gain?
(asked by Sean O on May 26, 7229)

A: put a cold air intake and a full catback exhaust and some nice header such as comtech or dc ...all this might give u about 15-35hp in about $2000... (answered by Sonu on May 26, 9645)

A: Well, you can always install a brand new exhaust system. That will boost your car up a couple of horses. (answered by 1 down, 999 bottles to go!!! on May 26, 8003)

Q:

How can i Spice up my silver BMW M3 E46?

I have a 2003 bmw M3 e46, im getting bored with the way it looks, how can i make it cooler looking. It has 40,000 miles and dont want to put too much into it. I was thinking of: tinting windows, Racemesh grill, facelift. Any other ideas? I dont want to make it look too taky but getting bored and want to make it stand out a little.
What about Racemesh grills? And what about Angel Eyes? And Eye lids? Tinting the windows? are these a waste of time or tacky?
(asked by ab on June 25, 2007)

A: In my opinion, if you simply washed and polished this car really well (including wheels), and spray on some tire shine, you'll look golden - especially in these sunny weather! Cheap and effective.

You'll soon realise how many people actually don't take the time to shine up their cars regularly.

For night time, the only recommendation I would make is to add some angel eyes. Get some good ones though, not the cheapy ones.

You can also look at adding some BMW options like PDC, Euro side mirror glass (with wide-angle section, without those annoying words). Change out those useless cupholders to a nice BMW console box with slide covers.

Add in an XM radio, or completely change out your radio with one that includes DVD/GPS. (answered by Snowie on June 26, 2007)
