A: go into Ebay, and search your bikes model, and year. Look for similar bikes, and see what they are bringing, and also search completed items, for what they actually brought. the sheer volume of items traded on ebay is setting the value of things anymore. A bike thats rare in one state may have had 5 dealers in the next state, and they are common. Ebay equals these things out. If they dont run they are worth much more in peices then sold non running, like a ton more. (answered by Gary M on January 18, 2008)

A: Haynes or Clymer Manual, (I'd get both).
BMWMOA maintains a parts exchange in their club magazine.
