A: The 1971 Buick Skylark with a 350 2 barrel had 230 bhp and the 4 barrel had 260 bhp. (answered by stush30@verizon.net on February 11, 1302)
A: about 175, take off the intake, make it a 4 bbl, and buy aftermarkey heads! Those were early emissions years. It is very easy to convert that engine to about 450 hp though, you don't even have to mess with the bottom end to do it. Just take off all the emmissions crap., buy headers, and midpipes with no catalytic converters, and once it is a 4bbl, your possibilities are endless. You can even buy dual quads for that engine. A: Try an auto salvage yard. You would be very surprised at the things you can find there. I have actully purchased a car from one.. it runs great.. looks decent and was a great buy. (answered by gin_in_mi on February 16, 2007)
Q:
A: Buick produced some muscle during the era, but the Skylark wasn't one of the hottest. And a 350 2-bbl does NOT qualify it as a "muscle" car, either. It's just a regular car with a normal V-8. What else ya wanna know?
