Q:

Where can I find a reproduction or in-good-shape hood emblem for a 1970-72 Buick Skylark?

I'm looking for the round, flat on hood, red white and blue, tri-shield Buick emblem for my skylark. Mine is discolored and old. I'd like to get another one in better shape. It can be reproduction or used, I don't care, as long as it's in good shape. Thank you, very much!

Q:

I have a '72 Buick Skylark 350 with original engine. What GM engines are interchangeable as far as books etc.?

I'm new to the car hobby and want to tune up the engine. It has all original parts as far as I can tell including a 2 barrel Quadrajet carburetor. I have problems with the car stalling when I press on the accelorator at stops and when cruising and needing to speed up. Will buying a rebuild kit for the carb and tuning up the engine fix the problems?
(asked by David L on February 10, 8099)

A: give it a good tune up.it might be just the accelerator pump on the carb or the fuel filter.but if u want just rebuild the carb to be on the safe side. (answered by odomatt on February 10, 9259)

Q:

have a 72 buick skylark with drum brakes. how to i bleed the brakes? i just installed a new master cylinder.?

my mechanic stops by and bleeds them sometimes. he doesn't use any special tool to bleed them no hoses or pumps or anything. just a wrench

how can i do it myself at home with one of my family member pumping on the brakes?

(asked by deadpool on October 17, 2008)

A: Once the brake pedal is down and held down, open the bleeder screw on the wheel cylinder. Once fluid or air stops coming out tighten the screw and have the other person pump the brakes a few times and repeat the process. Depending on how much and where you have air still trapped you may have to repeat this a few times at each wheel. Make sure to keep the reservoir filled with fluid otherwise you will get more air in the system again. (answered by ryankneale on October 17, 2008)
