Mark Bennett: Automotive era passes with end of Pontiac - Terre Haute Tribune Star December 06, 2009
“We had some good times back then,” said Fuson, president of Fuson Pontiac Buick Cadillac & GMC Trucks on US 41 south of the city. The iconic Pontiac brand,
Anderson, who bought the car in Sioux Falls, S. D. , said the original owner was in Rapid City, S. D. The original inline V-8 was swapped out for a 455 C. I. D. engine from a 1976 Riviera - a classic in its own right. Eric Anderson's 1937 Buick limo was a real eye-popper at the Black Knights Car Club's Sweet Corn Days car show Saturday. Anderson said the engine churns out 360 horsepower, 240 more than the original. Manufactured as the McLaughlin Buick in Canada, only 90 of the special cars were built and only five remain in existence. Jean Harlow could have ridden in it. She lived until 1937. The pearl-mist color seems almost ghost-like, quite fitting if Gable and Harlow are along for the ride.
Q:
A: I own a shop, and think this; If you are talking about the intake manifold, then they should be: 3/8-16 x 1 1/4" long. They take a 9/16" socket or end wrench to turn them with. 3/8 is the diameter, 16 means; its 16 threads (national course) per inch, and 1-1/4 means its one & one quarter inch long. Ask for a hex head grade 8 bolt so its doesn't break when you torque them down.
If you are talking about the exhaust manifold, then you will have the same except the length may be different, and you may have some longer than the others in some places.
Glad to help out, Good Luck!!! (answered by musiclicker on February 01, 2008)

A: It certainly *can* be....depends on what shape it is in now and what's been done/altered. Just remember we are talking about a 34 year old car here, so depending on how well it was maintained, it may need some TLC...
