49 buick dynaflow weight?

I have to get a 49 buick dynaflow transmission shipped to me. but i have to handle the shipping stuff. i am trying to do a online quote, but i dont know the weight. does anyone have an idea of the weight? i see on ebay that people are shipping other transmission as regular mail which means its under 150 pounds.

49 buick wont go into park.?

i have a 49 buick with a dynaflow. it goes into the park gear, but it doesnt lock. i can nudge the car and it will roll. when it rolls it makes a lil ticking sound near the bellhousing when it is rolling in park after pushing. something break? come loose? the trans was just rebuilt 2 weeks ago. this just happened today.
If the parking pawl broke (which might have been the case)how do i replace it? can i replace it?

A: It sounds like the parking pawl is broken or not installed properly. Take it back to the shop that did the rebuild, they should fix it. You could have damaged it by putting the car in park while still moving, but most likely they did not install it correctly when they put the transmission back together and they should fix it.
