Chuck Barry Ricks, of the 300 block of Artis St. in Franklin, was heading south near Bethany School Road when his Buick Skylark came upon a curve at a high speed, a Virginia State Police news release says. well a 350 or 400 gm tranmission......fit into a 1972 buick skylark......what kind of touqe converter do i need for the tranmission?....please help

A: Those transmissions were offered in Buicks back then. The standard automatic was the 350. The 400 Turbo came in the GS package. They are the same found in Olds Cutlass and Pontiac Lemans/GTO. The torque converters for both transmissions will interchange. I'd use one from a 350 in either the 350 or 400, but it depends on what you are looking for. (answered by sh752 on February 09, 2794)
