6 Chrysler recalls: airbag lights, brakes, fuel tubes

Chrysler dealers will fix the wiring connection free, and the car company says it will repay owners who paid to fix the warning lights. Chrysler noted that "there are no connections between these vehicles and any models currently in production or planned for production. Chrysler said it had "fewer than 40 complaints of broken driveshafts", and knows of no accidents or injuries resulting from the problem. 18, 2011, through May 7, 2012, because fuel tank tubes can deform and choke the supply of fuel to the engine, causing it stall in some circumstances. About 61,400 of the vehicles are in the U. S. , 1,000 in Canada, 13,700 in Mexico and 2,300 in other countries. •About 78,500 front-wheel-drive versions of its 2007 and 2008 Jeep Liberty and Dodge Nitro SUVs because a heat shield might come loose and rub on a driveshaft, causing it to break. No accidents have been caused by the problem, the automaker says. •About 30,000 of its 2012 Jeep Compass and Patriot models built Oct.

Chrysler 300 diesel could get green light

The Chrysler 300 is sold as the Lancia Thema in Europe complete with a diesel of its very own, and since the Jeep Grand Cherokee is now available with the diesel V6 here in the States, it only makes sense that the engine could potentially show up... Considering how many Chrysler 300s are converted into stretch livery limos these days after the Lincoln Town car was killed off, this might be a move aimed at the livery market more than at individual users. My personal guess is that that is the niche that Chrysler are trying to fill with the 300, though what they plan to do with a diesel 200 is not something that I would hazard a guess about. You can see a lot of converted 300s outside O'Hare these days and those who drive them would warm up to any savings that they might make on fuel costs. 0 V6 in the Jeep Grand Cherokee will set you back an additional $4,500, however. mehul_kamdar I don't know about other cities, but here in the North Chicago suburbs, one gas station chain, Speedway, sells diesel cheaper than even regular gasoline.

You Ask We Answer

Q:

my chrysler 300 lights started flickering, what is wrong with it?

the esp light went on, then everything blinks
(asked by Hieu L on April 03, 2008)

A: you need to take it to a dealer. it could be the steering angle sensor, steering column module, any wheel speed sensor, brake travel sensor, the abs module, the g sensor, etc. the only ones that can read the codes in all the systems right now is a dealer. Q:

(asked by ini300 on May 20, 8213)

A: For an auto that old unless there is someone making reproductions it may be hard to find a new one. Check ebay and other auction sites often. Also there are swap meets where people sell or buy auto parts just like a huge yard sale for autos and parts. At theese there are people that clean out their garage and may have a used one or even a new one that could have been on a shelf somewhere for 30 or more years. Occasionally there is someone who has purchased stuff from a dealer that was going out of business and may have had one in stock forever. Finding theese meets you need to check on the internet, look in auto magazines, talk to people that show cars or belong to a club etc... My suggestion is if you find one used that is fairly priced you better buy it because there isn't that many of them around for the vehicle you have and finding a new one may take years. Even if you buy a used one that is not in great condition it will look better than having one missing or broken while you keep looking for a new one. I wanted a specific engine part at one time and read a book printed in 1975 that told how few were produced and they were quite hard to find back then. I found what I wanted at a swap meet 3 months later and within 2 years I owned 7 of them but then again There is something I wanted in 1992 and couldn't find so I had to modify something else but just yesterday while on ebay I saw a new one at a good price because there is now someone reproducing them now that I'll never need it. Talk to participants of auto shows a lot of times they looked for years to find something and know how frustrating it can be so they are normally very eager to help if they have any idea of who might have what you need. Q:

Why do the interior lights in my Chrysler 300 stay on while I'm driving and remain on after the engine is off?

(asked by Glenn on December 27, 2008)

A: Check your dimmer switch (next to the light switch). It may be turned all the to "on" position, or the light switch could be bad. (answered by C-Tech on December 27, 2008)
