World Rally Championship convert Kimi Raikkonen will make his competitive debut in a Citroen C4 on January's Arctic Lapland Rally - a fortnight before his 2010 WRC campaign kicks off in Sweden.

Based from Rovaniemi, on the edge of the Arctic Circle, the event, the opening round of the Finnish championship, has been run for 45 years and is sometimes used as a test for the winter rallies in the WRC. Previous winners include former WRC champions Marcus Gronholm, Tommi Makinen and Hannu Mikkola.

Raikkonen made his rally debut on the snowy event earlier this year, finishing 13th in a Fiat Abarth Grande Punto S2000 co-driven by Kaj Lindstrom. The pair will tackle next year's edition, which starts on 29 January, in the same C4 World Rally Car they will use on 12 rounds of the WRC.

Contracted to Ferrari until the end of 2009, Raikkonen is limited in what he can say about his rally programme until the New Year and confirmed the appearance via a statement on his website.

How do I turn off child lock in a Citroen C4?

My dad has a Citroen C4, and whenever I am sitting in the back, I can't open my door as there is some child lock thing on it, so it has to opened from the outside. Very embarrassing!

In previous cars there was a little switch down the side of the door, but there doesn't seem to be one on the C4, so does anyone know how to sort this out? My dad can't find the user manual!

A: Well in the new cars there will be either a control on the remote control key thing, or beside the driver seat beside all the window controls. the C4 has electric door and window safety locks so there will be no switch on the door..... no point looking there so check out the remote control and buttons and switches around the driver seat :) (answered by Sam on June 22, 2008)

How do I turn off the Economy mode on my Citroen C4 Grand Picasso exclusive?

In 2007 my dad bought a brand new Citroen C4 Picasso Exclusive.
Its a great car, however, when the engine is turned off, and your listening to the radio, after about five minuets the radio goes off and the "economy mode" comes on. To turn off the economy mode you have to start the engine and turn it off again. How do I turn off the economy mode completely, without having to switch on the engine?

A: You cannot - it is there to protect the battery and once a certain voltage is reached it will trigger economy mode. (answered by Timbo is here on December 10, 2009)

Q:

How do I lower the steering wheel/higher the seats in the Citroen C4?

Just had delivery of a second hand C4 coupe and they forgot to leave me the manual! I've had one before and found it really comfortable, but sitting in this one I can tell that either the seats are too low, or the steering wheel is too high!

Can anyone shed some light on making it a bit more comfortable before my manual arrives in the post please?

A: Column height adjustment lever should be underneath the steering wheel, seat height adjustment levers should be on the outside of the seat.
