The trio of clips showed a police car reconstructing Miss Kerov’s route towards the pelican crossing on Alfreton Road in Little Eaton near to where her Daewoo Lanos was in collision with Vicky Wall at 5. THE driver of the car that collided with a woman in Little Eaton and killed her broke down in tears when a police reconstruction video was show at the inquest into her death. The inquest heard that all three clips replicated the damp weather and dim light that were prevalent on January 11, with a police officer standing in as a pedestrian. Irina Kerov put her head in her hands as PC Ian Phillips talked the coroner’s court in Derby through three separate video clips on Monday, July 25.

What is the problem when my 98 Daewoo Lanos uses water and overheats?
My Daewoo Lanos is now using litres of water everytime I use it. There is no green colour left in the coolant, its just brown water.I have to fill the radiator coolant tank up every 15mins.
Do I just need to flush it and put in new radiator coolant?
Or is there a bigger problem?

A: There is an obvious leak in your system. The problem is to locate the leak/s.
It can be leaking from many places, the radiator, the various hoses, even internal engine leaks.
At times this can cost a few dollars for a new hose, and at other times it is a major repair.
You sound somewhat inexperienced. Still you might be able to see where the leak occurs. Just do not open a hot engine and have yourself sprayed with super hot boiling water -- that can be extremely dangerous.
Bigger problem -- however, how big is the question. (answered by Fuzzy on April 29, 2009)

What is causing my 98 Daewoo Lanos to lose coolant and leak under the car?
I have a 1998 1.5L Daewoo Lanos.Everytime I fill up the coolant, it just drains it all and slowly leaks all out under the car.
It dosen't seem to be leaking from any pipes, radiator etc. It looks like it's coming from near the block.
Is this a blown headgasket?

A: Dude... I'm going to be blunt, and I'm not making a joke... it's a Daewoo... why do you think they are out of business?
They're re throw away cars.. when they break you throw them away...they are worth their weight in scrap, thas about it...
you might get lucky and be able to slowly part it out, but you have to have a place to store it until it's stripped enough to make it worth while.... I'd just haul it to the scrap yard and sell it for scrap... that's about what it's worth... sorry man. (answered by tampabaylive on February 23, 540)

A: TIMING BELT EVERY 40K MILES! It is $200 in parts through eBay. The belt itself is not expensive, but you may as well replace the tensioners and pullies at the same time and the water pump too. Your car has an "interference" motor, which means if the cam shafts stop, the pistons will hit the valves...
To summarize, a broken timing belt is a broken motor.
Daewoo went out of business in the US, and is no longer a car company, so you are on your own. Parts stores carry hardly any parts for it. Get parts over the Internet. Other than that, it is a great car.
In fact they still use that 1.6 liter engine in the new Chevy Aveo.
