I have a 1970 Datsun 1600 pickup truck that has been sitting for 10 years. It was my brother's who died and have kept it and trying to rebuild it. I know it needs an engine and electrical work but I need to know about the engine first. What kind of engine can I put in it? Any info would be appreciated....

A: a 4.3 G.M. V6 with an overdrive auto. trans would be sweet , power , economy and less weight than a V8. some 80's jeeps had 4 cyl. motors that can be had for a song . get a measuring tape and cruise the wreckers , keep it neat and clean to honour your bro. good luck. A: Yes. The aftermarket is loaded with electric fuel pumps. Facet is a good one that is often used on Volkswagen-based dune buggies, Baja bugs, and other race vehicles because it is so reliable. Check places like Summit Racing or Hot VWs magazine, or google Facet Electric Fuel Pump. Make sure you understand that your car is not fuel injected, so it doesn't need a high-pressure pump. The cars are between 1969 and 1970. They don't look the same yet they are listed the same in some magazines.
