So much did the 280ZX appeal to American sensibilities, in fact, that it won Motor Trend Magazines Import Car Of The Year award in 1979, a fact that Datsun was only to keen to brag about with this fantastic 30 seconds of footage. Its the voiceover that makes this ad, actually, but were also big fans of the Look, we do technology wire-frame diagram at the end and the hilariously perky jingle that closes the ad. That said, its not quite as mind-blowingly entertaining as... That said, it is for a car that many will say became bloated and disfigured thanks to American wants and needs the Datsun 280ZX. And most of that, it has to be said, is taken up by the voiceover guy uttering the phrase The Datsun 280 Zee Ex is. awesoommmme. And it isnt even for an American car. None quite so much as this, though.

Could a coil pack be the cause of a car shutting off when the engine gets hot enough? on a 1982 Datsun 280zx?
Buying a 1982 Datsun 280zx and the guy says the car runs good, but once it gets heated up high enough the car will shut off. He seems to point out the coil pack is the problem of this. Does this sound legit? (asked by denbro08 on November 28, 2008)

How can I find and stop an oil leak on a Datsun 280zx?
My 1979 Datsun 280zx has an oil leak some where.
The car was sitting for 15 years and didn't run when I got it.
I recently got it running and driving but I noticed that whenever I put it in gear or even go reverse, there is a leak of some sort.
It APPEARS to be oil but it's hard to tell since the oil in the car has less than 5 miles on it.
Any advise on finding this leak and stoping it? (asked by kwelch3930 on May 25, 6094)
