I have a 1979 Datsun 280zx that im thinking needs a new engine, a new transmission and some body touch ups, due to rust. About how much would it cost to restore it?

A: you can dump 10 Gs into it in know time so think about it a little while unless it has sentimental value. i'd look for one with no rust and go with that . (answered by thumper on February 09, 5111)

How can I find and stop an oil leak on a Datsun 280zx?

My 1979 Datsun 280zx has an oil leak some where.
The car was sitting for 15 years and didn't run when I got it.
I recently got it running and driving but I noticed that whenever I put it in gear or even go reverse, there is a leak of some sort.

It APPEARS to be oil but it's hard to tell since the oil in the car has less than 5 miles on it.

Any advise on finding this leak and stoping it?

A: pressure wash everything and get it clean......may need to let it dry then run motor for say 5 min and look for leaks....this way u will b able to trace teh source adn fix the problem...good luck (answered by Karle on February 09, 6673)

What is the value of a 1982 Datsun 280ZX Turbo?

I found a 1982 Datsun 280ZX Turbo (actually one of my co-workers has it) and he offered it to me if I want to buy it, but I want to know the value of it. It has 73,XXX miles on it (don't remeber the exact mileage), 5-speed manual, body is in good condition, runs excellent and the turbo spools nicely, if anyone can tell me a value to this car it would be appreciated, since I am not too familiar with this car (value wise).
the value of the car is not listed in kelley blue book or NADA for it is too old of a vehicle
