My 1974 Datsun 710 We used this for a science project
When people see Steven Mcauslen's 1984 Nissan 720 pickup at the race tracks around Washington state, the former Guam resident says he always gets a few raised eyebrows. "I grew up in Guam and it's our culture to race trucks," says Mcauslen, who moved to Washington state 13 years ago with his family. Trucks aren't raced in a lot of places on the West Coast, but the 44-year-old mechanic says he wouldn't do it any other way. He added upgrades, including a GT45 turbocharger, and added a single fogger nitrous system that sprays an extra 125 horsepower. While he has always loved rolling in what is fondly known as a "NapZ" on Guam, Mcauslen -- a master tech at Gaynor's Automotive in Vancouver, Wash.

A: Make it run on BioDiesel. Put a Garmin on the dashboard, a decent radio and call it Infiniti Q710. (answered by spammer on February 27, 2008)

A: As I recall the 69 to 72 sixes were2.8 liters and similar.
Some cars had fuel injection (SL's and SE's) but it was mechanical, Works great but very complex and very expensive when it breaks. Starting 1973 they had 2 cams and injection. (I saw a european one with one four barrel carb). The injection reduced emmissions and probably added some power but added a great deal of complexity and therefore reduced reliability.
I have a1986 300E engine (apart) It is fuel injected but It is very different configuration. The transmission was completely different
from the 1972 and earlier one and I do not know if it would bolt up.
.
I have a complete 1972 250/8. NJ weather has taken it's toll on the body and it needs paint but the engine was bored out and rebuilt 30 or so thousand miles ago and is great.
