In 1982 my class took a field trip to a science museum in Columbus, Ohio and I was confronted by the coolest-looking automobile I had ever seen: a 1981 DeLorean motor car, the DMC-12. I've wanted a DeLorean since the first time I saw one in person, when I was 10 years old. But this was like no car I'd ever seen before. It had a stainless steel finish that gleamed under the lights, and its sleek, futuristic design made it look like a spacecraft about to lift off. I was a nerdy kid and had always been more interested in computers than cars.
Q:

On the History Channel I saw a little clip about a company that makes new ones from old parts and repairs and refurbishes old ones, but I'll have to do some research. (answered by on July 27, 2008)
Q:
A: I found this and maybe you have already seen it but I will keep looking and maybe find something else.
You have a "pre" production DeLorean. DeLoreans made for public release began with numbers VIN#0652 (or there about).
You must have one of the cars that was made to test the quality of the production line and to train the workers.
DeLoreans made from VIN#500-652 were tested by the U.S. government (crash tests, regulation compliance, etc...) and all of these are suppose to have been destroyed as well. (answered by UCANTCME on January 18, 2008)
Q:
