Feature Flick: How Not To Imitate The Dukes Of Hazzard

Possibly ignoring the fact that stuntmen in the TV show’s heyday loaded the nose-heavy Charger with ballast in the trunk to avoid landing on the cars nose, this Charger owner went full-out with less than ideal results. The owner of this “General Lee” Dodge Charger decided to let out his inner Duke and jump his Charger over a parked police car. Unfortunately, due to the juvenile showmanship of another owner, it looks like one more Charger is joining that list.

Q:

Body difference between 1969 Dodge Charger and 1969 Super Bee?

Were there any body differences between the 1969 Charger and the 1969 Super Bee? They look a lot alike!
(asked by olfordtrucks on February 11, 6056)

A: the super bee was built off a dodge coronet body style,it had no relation to the charger body's at all,the Plymouth road runners and gtx,s and satellites were the same body style, the road runner and the the gtx,s they have slightly different design,s as you can tell from looking at this picture, they were two totally different vehicles, engines and transmissions were the same but that's about it,http://www.hubcapcafe.com/ocs/pages01/do dg6904.htm good luck on it. (answered by dodge man on February 11, 9881)

A: The Super Bee was a Coronet body....slightly different than the Charger which had a Coke-bottle shape from 68-70. Coronet's and Plymouth Satellite-based Roadrunners were light-weight basic versions of muscle cars whereas a Charger could be considered a more refined muscle car with options like a/c, power seats and windows.

Q:

How can you rent a 1969 Dodge Charger for a day?

My dad used to drive a red dodge charger when he was young. He always admires these cars anytime that he sees them. I was wondering if there is a way to rent one to allow him to experience some nostalga. He lives in West Virginia.
(asked by Amber Lynae on June 11, 2008)

A: NO! Why because these cars can't be replaced. But you can buy one. A nice 69 is only asbout 80 grand. (answered by alcusswhen on June 12, 2008)
