I'm looking to get a 2008 Dodge Charger SRT8. I live in Georgia and according to the dodge website there isn't one on a lot within 300 miles. I called a couple of dealerships and they said they could get me one in a couple of days. Does this sound right? If I put down a deposit, how long until they would actually have it. Also, are they going for MSRP or more? (asked by Todd on October 16, 2007)
A: Yeah that is about right. A dealer usually has agreements with other dealers and they pull one off another dealer's lot or just order one, but a few days sounds normal. The most you should have to wait is two weeks.
As for price, depends on the dealer. They may mark it up a bit from MSRP. Could be a few thousand more than MSRP, but then again you could find a good dealer that won't. It's a toss up either way. You can negotiate on the price even before you order it. (answered by SRT-4 Luv on October 16, 2007)

I was wondering what is a aproximate rate on the car insurance on a Dodge Charger SRT8. I am 22 years old and a good record. Any suggestions doesnt have to be accurate. Also if you have 2 cars is the rate cheaper than just 1 car. (asked by ORLANDOBOY1985 on March 08, 2008)
A: yes it is cheaper to insure two cars rather than one,my cousin just bought a new charger with the hemi in it,and her insurance is well over 200 a month right now,the told her it would come down as she got older ,she doesn't have any tickets or anything else,but to me that's way too much to pay for insurance,but that's full coverage also,she is also 25 years old,good luck. Does my Dodge Charger SRT8 HAVE to use 91 octane?
I am getting a SRT8 Charger and I have read that the recommended fuel is the 91 octane. Will it screw up my engine to run 87 or even run 87 with octane booster? My truck has 10.1 compression and runs great on 87. THe SRT Hemi is only 9.8 or there about. (asked by Mopar4life on May 27, 2008)
A: not reccomend but required. the car is tuned for it and because of that wont run properly without 91+ octane.
Octane boost doesnt help much unless you put in a few bottles every fill up.
and your compression has nothing to do with it its all about timing.
