Q:

What color is best for the Dodge Ram 1500?

Hi I just got my license and i want to get a dodge ram 1500. When I get it I am going to lift it up 3 inches and 33 inch tires on it. Because im planning on offroading it. What would be a good color and an easy color to take care of for it. Please answer as soon as possible.
(asked by pete.mahan on July 25, 2008)

A: in an off road situation the darker the color the more that scratches will show, white will show just as bad, for the best color to hide scratches will be in the grey to silver range. (answered by olddodgenut on July 26, 2008)

A: Charcoal grey with black racing strips (answered by Pfff on July 25, 2008)

Q:

What manual transmission was used in 98 dodge ram 1500 2wd?

My friend just blew up the auto tranny in his 98 dodge ram 1500 sst. the autos in these trucks suck horribly and blow alot. to fix this we are doing a 5 speed swap. I just need to know which model manual tranny was used in the dodge trucks of this generation. Also if you know what motors they were used with that would be great. He has the 5.9L 360 engine.
(asked by lowmaz on February 10, 9610)

A: 46RH-RE were what was used in the 90's for 360's. You could get one from a junk yard for around 200 bucks(lowest). Good luck! (answered by Jacob C on February 10, 1805)

Q:

Help on parking brake for a dodge ram 1500 4wd?

I am in the process of replacing the emergency brake shoes on my dodge ram 1500 and I discovered that the ones I purchased from AutoZone don't match the OEM ones. There is a slot that is larger that what the OEM ones are. This is where the spring clips in. Short of buying the overpriced ones from the dealership, I seem to be stuck. Does anyone have any suggestions?
(asked by Nater on December 31, 2008)

A: If the slot is different in size but does not prevent the spring from properly engaging the brake shoe and operating it correctly ... to the extent that the difference is more cosmetic than functional, then by all means use the aftermarket shoes. If the difference prevents the spring from properly engaging the shoe and correctly operating them then you will have to return the aftermarket shoes Autozone and obtain shoes from another source, either a different aftermarket supplier or from a Dodge dealer which are correct for your vehicle.
