I doing some work on my truck a Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 5.9L with 170,000 mles on it. I need to know if my truck has 2 wheel ABS or 4 wheel ABS. I cant find it in the owners book. PLEASE HELP. (asked by Tashina on August 06, 2007)

A: quick way is to look at the back of the wheel area and see if there are wires coming out of the back of all of them or only two of them. (answered by Ron F on August 06, 2007)

98 dodge ram 4x4 will only drive in 4 wheel low?
98 dodge ram makes a slight grind when in 2 wheel high and 4 wheel high and will not move. The only way to drive is to put it in 4 wheel low. Taking it to the shop soon but anyone know whats going on?
Tranny is auto but 4x4 is manual. (asked by Craig L on March 23, 2008)
A: I think this truck has a Manuel floor shift transfer case,not electric with an on dash switch,check to make sure that you can feel the transfer case shift through all ranges [with transmission in neutral, engine idling] if so check trans fluid and smell it [burnt]a trans problem can also cause this problem as it take less torque to more the truck in low range and can give a feeling that it is a transfer problem,don't drive to far before you have it checked out (answered by v8deuce on March 23, 2008)
