The car maker says the recall affects certain 2008 to 2011 model-year Ram 2500 and 3500 4×4 models and Ram 3500 chassis-cab 4×2 trucks built from Feb. Ram 2500 and 2500 models from the 2003 to 2008 model years may also be affected because the faulty tie rod assembly could have been installed as a replacement part. and 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega Cab 4×4 models built from Feb. Chrysler says it is recalling a total of 242,780 Dodge Ram pickup trucks ranging from the 2003 to 2011 model years because their left-side tie rods can break allowing the left front when to move independently, without control of the steering wheel.

A: The fuel pump on your vehicle, or another hooked up to the line on the tank is probably your only option. The filler neck is equipped with a rollover valve that won't let a hose pass to siphon.
NOTE: The pump runs continually when the engine is running, so it will not burn up pumping out the tank. You may have to get a battery charger to hook up to your battery to keep it from running down. (answered by eferrell01 on June 29, 2007)
