I am not a big car person, but I just love that for one week a year, people from all over the state, the nation, even the world, come to my little piece of the planet. Vehicle: 1975 Fiat 124 Sport Spider convertible. My husband, Brian, and I love that the back seat is just big enough to fit Jake and Mason, our two Lab-mix rescue dogs. I consider this the poor man's Austin-Healey. I have always wanted an Austin-Healey, but they are so expensive. I love the activity, the noise and all the festivities. We are so lucky they let us drive their car.

A: Don't listen to the 'fiats are hard to get parts for' stories ,,its rubbish.
Your car is almost 30 years old , so of course there may be some difficulties.
My suggestion is to find an original one that has been rebuilt or get yours rebuilt...
Failing that ,.a Webber 32/36 carb may fit with some small changes to the air filter body.
The 32/36 was probably Webber most mass produce carb ,and they work well on Fiat twin cams.(but for best results it may need to be rejetted slightly) (answered by Wise Old Man on December 12, 2007)

Engines are very good as is the transmissions. Fun to drive.
