Q:

Ford Bronco 2 will run but when on the road the engine will stall out. What is the cause of this?

I have an 88 Ford Bronco 2 4x4 2.9L V6 with a rebuild engine and transmission. This problem started in the summer while on the highway I notice that at first the gas pedle felt loose then the engine light went on and I lost accleration. At first I when I tried to get it to start it would turn over but would die. But it started up the next day and didn't have a problem until it happened again. I replaced the ignition modular, gave it a tune up, replaced the battery, and replaced the fuel pump in the gas tank. The problem still persists and to make it worst its intermittent which makes it difficult to find.

I was wondering if it could be the computer for the truck and how I could troubleshoot it.

Thank for any help.

Sorry about repeating I didn't know how Yahoo Answer works.

I don't believe that the temperature has anything to do with it because today was 40 degrees when it stalled. My father is a mechanic he is stomped on what could be the problem.
I don't think its the emergancy fuel cut off swtich because I could hear the fuel pumps working before I tried to start the engine. Thanks for the reply.

Q:

How do I remove a stereo from a 1996 Ford Bronco?

I just bought an awesome 1996 Ford Bronco from a private seller. He installed an aftermarket stereo in the bronco but lost the face plate. I need to remove the stereo that's in there and put in a different one. I cannot figure out how to take the stereo out of the dash. Do I need to remove the dash? There are no screws showing on the stereo or around it. Thanks for your help!

A: you need a fine edged tool to pop the casing loose, then you simply disconnect the wiring by pulling it loose from the connectors or clipping them. When you install the new one you will need to buy connectors. (answered by on September 19, 2009)
