A: My husband is a leaf spring mechanic, if you want to know from him he will need to know what year the truck is and how high you want to lift it. Send me a message if you want a professional advice. (answered by wallcritter on November 29, 2008)
Q:
A: What engine does it currently have in it? If it has a 460 already, then bolt it in. Use the intake and other external parts from the 85. If it has a windsor, then you need you use the transmission from the 93 too. You should be able to buy mounts as the 460 was available in that truck. The biggest problem would be using the fuel injection, then you need to use all of the wiring, computers, and fuel tank from the 93. You will need to fabricate some things, and like fuel lines. If not using the fuel injection, you will need to convert it to standard electronic distributor, and get an intake and carb for it. You can also strip out the interior, and fix the 93, it would be alot less work and expense. Just get one thats been wrecked for the interior parts. Clean it out, replace the melted wiring, and start driving a newer truck. (answered by Gordon L on March 24, 2008)
A: you will basically need a welder and some one to do the wiring the 460 have there own bell pattern so you will need the tyranny all so plus you will all so need the ecu or do a carburetor swap you can get the carburetor, intake&cam from summit racing or ford motor sports you will need to build your own mounts and cross member fore the tranny and motor hope this helps (answered by Shawn E on March 23, 2008)Q:
