Q:
A: The 2010 Ford Mustangs are great cars to buy. As always, the Mustang gives the consumer more bang for their buck. The Ford Mustang V6/GT gives great handling and acceleration. Many people criticize the Ford Mustang for its solid rear axle and say that the Camaro is the better choice, but the simple fact of the matter is that the Ford Mustang gets 0.95 G while the Camaro gets 0.88 G. But when it comes to choosing which one to buy, the GT model will, obviously, be the better choice. The Ford Mustang GT will hit 60 mph in 4.9 seconds and go onto finishing the quarter mile in 13.5 seconds @ 104.2 mph. This performance is really surprising for a car that costs around $27,000. But it does not end with only straight line performance, the Ford Mustang offers superb handling. Thick sway bars, wider tires, a wider track, improved strut tower braces, brakes, etc., gives the car great handling, better than the Chevrolet Camaro. Along with performance and handling, the Ford Mustang gives great interior comfort. The soft touch interior leather and revised detail gives the Mustang a more luxury look and feel. The only problem with the Mustang Line Up is the V6 Mustang. Many say the engine is outdated and Ford should out a better engine. The V6 is not a bad engine, it will get you to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds. Reviewers say that should be able to extract more power out and use a new and better engine. You asked for Pros/Cons for the Ford Mustang so here it is:
2010 Ford Mustang GT:
Pros
+ 4.6-liter V8 benefits from innovations from the popular Ford Mustang Bullitt model
+ GT: 315 hp 335 Torque
+ 0-60 MPH: 4.9 seconds & ¼ mile in 13.5 seconds @ 104.2 MPH
+ The Mustang runs on regular gasoline, but if you put in premium it has adaptive calibration that will give you even better mid-range torque
+ AdvanceTrac Electronic Stability Control
+ Mustang's all-speed traction control
+ ABS
+ The interior design is all new with world-class materials and execution
+ The powerful new one-piece instrument panel design is crafted in seamless soft-touch TPO (Thermoplastic Olefin) skin fully encompassing available genuine aluminum-finish panels
+ Mustang's chromed-ringed gauges and dual-vane air register vents are precisely crafted and positioned
+ The instrument panel and console flow as one shape, another strong connection to Ford Mustang heritage
+ The seats and arm rests have softer materials with high-quality stitching
+ New features 911 Assist and Vehicle Health Report
+ The aggressive look is enhanced by larger grille openings flanked by slimmer headlamps, which now incorporate integrated turn indicators
+ Sporty design that looks smart and efficient
+ The front end on all models is lower and appears wider with strong wheel arches pushing up and out of the muscular fenders
+ Dynamic character lines emerging from above the grille sweep rearward into a more powerful, sculptural hood, further expressing Mustang's potency
+ The addition of lower front splitters adds to the sporting appearance but are also functional aerodynamic elements improving Mustang's fuel economy, downforce and overall performance
+ In the GT, AdvanceTrac, can be run in on, off or Sport mode, which allows drivers to push it more while still retaining control
+AdvanceTrac, new for 2010, traction control and anti-lock brakes also are standard. AdvanceTrac uses sensors to detect and measure yaw, or side-to-side skidding conditions, by monitoring the vehicle's speed, throttle position and steering wheel angle. When AdvanceTrac senses wheel slippage, it reduces engine torque and applies the brakes as needed.
+The exterior sheet metal, except for the fast-back roofline, is all new for 2010. At the front, the new headlamps, lower fascias, fenders and grille are capped by a powerdome hood that adds to the muscular appearance while functionally allowing for enhanced air cooling of the engine.
+ In the GT, AdvanceTrac, can be run in on, off or Sport mode, which allows drivers to push it more while still retaining control
+ In the GT Model, aerodynamic lift has been reduced by 23 percent for GT models, which significantly improves steering feedback and driver confidence at higher speeds
+The new center stack design adds the latest version of Ford SYNC™, with new features 911 Assist and Vehicle Health Report. Drivers also can customize their ambient and instrument lighting through the My Color™ system, which features 125 color options
+
+Mustang's washer-fluid nozzles are tucked into the cowl, while the antenna has been moved to the rear, both of which create a cleaner appearance while also reducing wind noise.
+Drag Coefficient was reduced by 7 percent on the 2010 Ford Mustang GT
+Standard on all models is a three-link rear suspension with a panhard bar.
+ Tires are increased by an inch across the Ford Mustang line, with 17-inch tires standard on the V6 and 18-inch tires standard on the V8. A 19-inch Pirelli Summer tire is late available as an option for those seeking higher performance.
+ The proven chassis from the Bullitt series serves as the base for the GT
+ A tower-to-tower brace pioneered on the Bullitt lends additional torsional and lateral stiffness to the chassis to improve cornering for those selecting the 19-inch tire
+ Aerodynamic drag and lift balance were improved for better overall efficiency
+ 3.73 axle ratio
+ Performance front/rear brake pads
+ 10/10 Safety Rating
Cons:
+ Reliability is 4/10
+ There are better cars for the money that offer more
+ The Solid Rear Axle does not give the full on potential of the car
+ The design is a love or hate it
+ V6 Models are low on HP and are crude
+ Single Exhaust while the base Camaro offers Dual Exhaust and comes with a 306 hp V6.
+ The tires are kinda of thin for this car

Q:
A: I drive a 90 Mustang GT, I have had to replace the transmission at about 180,000 miles and the fuel injectors, three had/developed cracks, THAT'S IT. Brake pads, shocks, exhaust, window motors, light bulbs, the regular stuff, but at 249,000 miles I still love this car. It has upgrading, and customizing done but it's still stock! I'll see a quarter million miles and more in this car!! FORDS FOREVER (answered by Scott H on July 21, 2009)
A: depends if your lucky about a month (answered by kevin m on July 21, 2009)Q:
A: What state?, How long have you had your license? I assume its an 8 cylinder. I'm in NC and our rates are a little more than most places but progressive.com said a 1990 Mustang with liability and basic collision would be around 150 a month for someone your age. That was using my social and credit info along with my cities specific zip code. I also assumed a $250 dollar deductible and 50,000 in body injury. Mustangs are usually bad but the older the car the better. (answered by NCRider on September 19, 2009)
