2012 Ford Mustang GT Premium Convertible, an Autoweek Drivers Log Car Review

From the body style to the well-thought-out yet simple interior, the Mustang GT in many ways is a car from another era, outfitted with a modern engine, sound-isolation and tire and brake technology to deliver a pure driving experience without the... MOTORSPORTS EDITOR MAC MORRISON: Every chance I get to drive the Ford Mustang GT with the 5. 0-liter V8, I smile because I know exactly what I'm in for--a great engine, great sounds, fun on-throttle handling and just an all-around throwback experience. The Mustang remains a winner, pure and simple. And while the chassis shakes and oscillates a bit at times over bumps, I've experienced worse in modern cars costing more money and carrying more well-heeled nameplates. It's by far my first choice in the modern muscle-car class. I would be happier in the coupe, but the removal of a fixed roof does little to dampen the driving fun.

Q:

Ford Mustang convertible rental in the USA?

I am driving between Las Vegas and San Francisco as part of my honeymoon next year and would like to hire a Ford Mustang convertible to do the job. This would obviously mean picking up the car at one location and dropping it off at another. Can anyone recommend a car hire company which offers this service please? I don't think the usual car rental companies (Avis, Hertz, Budget, etc) have Ford Mustang convertibles.

Many thanks.
(asked by Munkey Harris on February 11, 9485)

A: Hertz usually has the best deals for one-way rentals. Hertz can also arrange for a Mustang convertible, but you may have to request one in advance AND confirm your request the day before you expect to collect the car.

Hope you have a great trip! (answered by NOLA guy on February 11, 7)

A: I know for a fact that as of 2 years ago Hertz rented Mustang convertibles>because I rented one
