The 2008 Suzuki motorcycle collided with a 2003 GMC Yukon that pulled out from a driveway onto Hwy. A motorcycle accident on Hwy. 6 near Voss around 11:30 p. m. last night left the motorcyclist dead and his passenger injured. The driver of the motorcycle died at the scene. The accident is still under investigation.
Are the doors or any other body panels on the 2008 GMC Yukon Hybrid made of aluminum?
I'm looking to double check a somewhat fishy explanation I got from the dealer on an item I asked them to look into on my last service visit.
When I purchased it the dealer told me the rear door/hatch was aluminum and no power lift was available as a weight saving move on the hybrid models. They didn't tell me any of the rest of the body was aluminum.
I'm asking specifically about the Hybrid model, not the regular gas power versions. (asked by Jon S on August 10, 2009)
A: Only the hatch is made of aluminum. The rest of the body is made of steel. There is no difference between the body of a hybrid or gas powered Yukon, Suburban, Escalade etc... They are all the same. (answered by Kenny on August 10, 2009)

I want to trade my 2007 Chevy Trailblazer for a 2007 or 2008 GMC Yukon.?
I know I will have negative equity, just trying to avaoid outregeous payments. Any tricks, advice or ideas.

A: yeah, you are going to loose money. ADVICE: If you want a Yukon, get a Tahoe instead - it looks better, is just as luxurious, and is cheaper (GM prices GMC above Chevy, yet they're the same cars, just rebadged). If you want a Yukon XL, get a Suburban - same applies as Tahoe. You should definitely talk to a chevy dealer about the Tahoe & Suburban before going to GMC. GMC are nice, but more expensive. Ask dealer why you should go for chevy over gmc. happy hunting. :)
