Trooper Darwin Bennett, 24, was driving north on Route 301 in his police cruiser and, at the intersection of Queen Anne Bridge Road, struck a 2005 GMC Envoy. Sheila Watson Hopkins, who was driving the Envoy across Route 301, was flown by helicopter to Prince George&rsquo. s SUV in Upper Marlboro on Saturday, and state police are investigating the crash. A Maryland state trooper hit a 64-year-old woman&rsquo. Bennett was taken to the Bowie Health Center with minor injuries.
Where can I find information on repairing the power seat of my GMC Envoy?
I cannot get my '05 GMC Envoy power seat to move forward or backward. All other features of the power seat still work. Can anyone help? (asked by dltnpg on November 13, 2006)
A: Check with your local library, the usually have repair manuals like Chilton. You most likely have a switch or actuator problem. When you activate the switch, check for a noise or see/feel if one of the activators tries to "jump" or move. If it tries to move and will not, the actuator is bad. If it does nothing the switch is probably bad.
The switch should not be hard to replace. The actuator is more difficult, the seat must be removed. Locate the proper actuator, the seat track assy. may have to be removed from the seat frame. A basic set of hand tools is all required, give yourself a Saturday to complete the repair. (answered by Phillip C on November 13, 2006)

A: very good. short wheel base SUV's do well in snow, and the Envoy is very reliable. My aunt just bought one and she loves it. If you're looking to spend less money, you could get a Chevy Trailblazer for slightly less, i believe. They're both very good vehicles. (answered by Disgruntled Answerer on February 08, 2007)

Is something wrong with my 2005 GMC Envoy or am I paranoid?
Just this morning as I was driving to work, my car sounded like it was racing a bit. I have 2005 GMC Envoy with 35,000 miles and I am about 1000 over my oil change (every 3000). The car sounded the same on the ride home. Could I possibly be having some sort of transmission trouble already? (asked by phillyred1992 on February 05, 2857)
A: I have heard cars having transmission problems that early yes, it really just depends on how you drive the car. If you don't come to a complete stop before changing gears it can wear on the transmission fast. Also if you park your car on a slant and let your car rest on the transmission (not using the parking break). Is the check engine light on? If so have autozone run a diagnostic test.
