Where can I find repair and technical information for a 1955 GMC Motor home?
There is a guy here advertising one locally for sale. Not so sure if they even made one for that year. Could be a conversion. The picture looks factory though. (asked by David C on March 01, 2009)
A: you can buy a repair manual at an r.v. dealer's parts dept. that would cover trouble shooting and basic repair for water heater, furnace,refrigerator,etc. you may be able to find a manual for an older motor home in craig's list (answered by mr.inquisitive on March 02, 2009)
A: You really can't find the info you need. They don't have much info from those days and repair manuals were far and few between. Majority of rv's from those days were conversions. It could be a fun project to restore. (answered by Christian on March 02, 2009)

Anyone know anything about a 454 on a 1978 GMC Midas Motor home?
I recently bought a 1978 GMC Midas with a 454 engine. I need to replace 3 belts. Is there anywhere that I can see a diagram of this motor? (asked by x_kookoo4kokopuffs_x on April 03, 2009)
A: If you got a hand book for the van then you should have a diagram. You can also look to any auto parts store and get a copy of a Chilton or Haynes manual and that will give you enough information to change them out or to properly tension them. (answered by george m on April 03, 2009)
