Sheriff’s spokesman David Ehsanipoor said a deputy stopped a GMC Sonoma pickup truck about 7 p. m. Thursday on Ebenezer Road near Ga. 21 that had an air-conditioner in the truck bed with what appeared to be freshly cut copper wiring. Two Effingham County residents have been arrested on suspicion of stealing an air-conditioning unit from an area residence. “It was later determined they lied when deputies were called out to another residence on a report of an air-conditioning unit that had been stolen from that home. Investigators determined the unit, valued at $5,000, was stolen from a residence on Lowground Road.

92 gmc sonoma, 2.8 2wd. ext cab. rear leafs under the axle. could i flip them and put them on top or would it be too much trouble? and the front is the part im confused about. i know i could just get lift shackles for the rear but what do i do to the front?

A: You will need a kit to flip the rear axle. For the front, use only spindles or springs. Any kind of spacer or block can be fatal on the front of a truck (answered by jim on May 07, 2009)

What rear end gear ratio in my GMC Sonoma will give me the highest top speed without loosing take off power?

I have a 98 GMC Sonoma with a 4.3L V6 that is quick but definitely has more power, I want to turn that power into speed.

A: ok, let me give you the lecture that i heard years ago on this matter. in rear end ratios, 3.50:1 is the ideal ratio, it gives you both power and fuel economy, not the bast of both but the happy mid point. closer to a 1:1 ratio will give you better fuel economy and as i see it a higher top speed, but you will have to be patient getting there. now the 4.11:1 ratio that we have all heard of is a torque monster that consumes fuel like there3 is no tomorrow. stick with a 2.50 ratio or something like that. A: You should call your local GMC dealers service dept.Ask them for the phone number of a local shop that does this type of work.These places have kits that have everything they need to install power windows in your sonoma.At my Chevy dealership we have two shops that we send our customers to for this type of work due to the fact they have quality parts and expert people doing the work and they offer a good warranty.Best of luck with your sonoma.
