has moved its GMC line of trucks and SUVs to Hove Buick GMC in Bradley. About 50 GMC vehicles have been moved to the new location at 1380 N. Kinzie Ave. Buick and GMC are supposed to be together," Hove said. The North Harrison Avenue location had been the site of truck sales for more than 60 years, he said. He said there are plans to add a service and parts building at the new location next spring. , Kankakee, will be the large Peterbilt and Volvo semitrucks, said Bruce Hove, co-owner of the dealership. A: The link below is one of the best suppliers I have found in a long time for the GM trucks. All the parts aren't GM, but they are reporductions for the most part, or are NOS (New Old Stock) in other cases. Prices are actually very good as well. (answered by workn2hard116 on March 29, 2008)

A: They might be worth quite a bit to someone restoring that type of truck but you will not have an easy time finding that person. Go to Hemmings.com and then go to parts for sale and parts wanted. Maybe you can find someone looking for parts. If not you can run an ad under parts for sale. Also you might try selling the whole truck as a parts vehicle. (answered by on July 09, 2009)

Where do you find parts for a 1988 GMC C6000 box truck?
I have a 1988 GMC C6000 24' Box Truck (retired Uxaul moving truck) I need brake lines right now but I also need to know a good source for parts in the future. Autoparts stores don't have trucks this size in thier database. They just scratch thier heads when I try to explain what it is. It has a 454 gas motor so that's not too hard to find parts for but everything else seems to be a needle in a haystack. Uxaul has a website with parts for thier old fleet but it doesn't list anything for the C6000 anymore. How about RV dealerships, might they be a source for these big truck parts? Please Help! I'm looking for feedback from other people with commercial vehicles or ppl in the industry who fix them .... I know most of the common autoparts websites and have most of the catalogs they just don't have anything for the commercial vehicles. (asked by bigtjeeper on July 13, 2007)
