Q:
A: First off its not worth it to exchange it. Sell your current car and buy a manual trans car. Its very expensive and hard to do. You cant just bolt on a manual transmission. Having a mechanic do it will be even more money. (answered by eonetiller on August 24, 2009)
Q:
A: Many Honda's, Toyota's, and Nissan's can run upwards of 200k miles, so with a tiny bit of luck and regular maintenance that Prelude should be able to run for many more miles.
Performance upgrades and making your car go faster both decrease the miles the car will be able to run without breaking down and replacing a lot of things. So, with that being said, if you still want to go that route you could do many things. If you're looking for big power, you could try a turbocharger or a supercharger. If you're looking for naturally aspirated power you could try a super common H22 engine swap. Be warned though, all of those modifications (except a bare bones engine swap, providing it's done correctly) would decrease the reliability of the vehicle. If thats more power than you want, you could always do the basic cold air intake + exhaust deal. (answered by JJ on May 20, 2009)
