A: I have a stock 08 SI coupe and it will run 0-60 in 5.9 . I have tested three times at the track and its pretty consistent .
Honda is good at purposely not giving the correct numbers due to insurance . There is a lot on a new SI that is not listed just to save the buyers some cash on rates . The sedan , however, will run much faster than what it is rated for . I have seen many stock SI sedans run in the low 6 second bracket . Just ask any SI owner . Q:
A: ummm. i own a 2000 si and a 2000 civic hatchback..you cant substitute an s.i. the 99-2000 civic ex is as close as you can get. the 96-98 civics have a different front end. the civic s.i comes with a stock b16a2 dohc vtec(dual over head cam vtec) wich has alot more power than an ex, also comes with better suspension, all wheel disk brakes, and different interior. an ex is the closest you will get to an s.i. if you later are gonna swap an engine into it you might as well get a hatchback... but if you just want the looks, get an ex. and american hondas are not ek's, those are acutually japanesse models.ek3 is 95-98 in japan. ek4 is 99-2000 civic in japan and ek9 is 99-2000 but the type r models... hope that answered your questions... oh and dont go single cam turbo. your engine will blow trust me. A: if you want something that looks the same and can be pushed to get performance like the SI your going to want to buy a 98+ civic EX coupe you can make it look near identical and with some time and money have it running faster than a stock SI and it will have more torque when your done (answered by Russell on May 29, 2008)Q:
A: The Si is a limited production car.
The sedan you'll have a better chance of getting maybe $500. The coupe I would guess none. (answered by Honda Servant on July 26, 2008)
