Given a "typical U. S. diet," you would have to ride your bike instead of driving for around 400 miles to cover the bike's initial carbon footprint. Shreya Dave, a graduate student at MIT, recently estimated that manufacturing an average bicycle results in the emission of approximately 530 pounds of greenhouse gases (PDF). What size are the Hummer H2 tires stock?

A: They came standard with LT315/70-17 tires which equates to an overall diameter of about 34.4 inches. Basically H2's come stock with 35 inch tires. (answered by fodaddy19 on August 15, 2009)

A: Helium or hydrogen, less curb weight = better mileage. (answered by UCANTCME on February 11, 5851)
A: You can be concerned that the helium will leak out at a fairly rapid rate and you'll be riding on under inflated, unsafe tires. Helium is a hard gas to contain. The atom is so small it can seep through the smallest opening. We used it in the hi-tek industry as a leak detection gas for vacuum systems because of those properties. It isn't inherently unsafe but it's so hard to contain in something as porous as a tire that I wouldn't use it. Boogie 4 is wrong. Helium is inert, not flammable. Anyone know how to attach a license plate to a 05 Hummer H2 SUT after removing the spare tire rack?
I hate the spare tire on this thing but love the H2. I'd like to remove the rack and tire and find a way to attach the tag legally to the rear somehow. I've seen them around this way from time to time. (asked by David on November 09, 2009)
