Q:

What type of metal is a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT V6 Flywheel made out of?

What type of metal is a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT V6 Flywheel made out of? Cast Iron? Billeted Steel?

My uncle a mechanic also says that the flywheel usually never needs to be replaced when replacing a clutch if it is made out of cast iron because it is so hard to thin down.
(asked by Sean on October 23, 2009)

A: Cast Iron. (answered by Hyundai Guru on October 24, 2009)

A: Most flywheels are made of cast iron or steel. I'd ask a dealer repair shop which one the Tiburon uses. (answered by DER ALTE FIRZ on October 23, 2009)

How much would it cost to replace the key ignition on a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon?
(asked by Dusty Mac on October 01, 2009)

A: Parts and labor, you might be looking at about $400.00 plus your local applicable taxed. You can get cheaper if you buy ignition lock from a junk-yard. (answered by Hyundai Guru on February 11, 9947)

Q:

How many miles approximately would a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon (6 speed) GT last?

Im looking at buying a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon with 60k miles already on it for 7k and wondering if it would be a good buy.
(asked by Ryan on April 19, 2009)

A: The price is reasonable, at least on the surface. To answer both questions, it really matters how the vehicle was treated. Was it adult-driven? That makes a huge difference. Teens tend to drive Tiburons, and I would not buy one driven by a teen. They beat the crap out of them. As with any used car, have a certified mechanic look it over carefully before you buy it. There are no guarantees, though. You can't definitively say how long it will last. Anything can go wrong with a car at any time. (answered by tomfoolery on April 19, 2009)
