Q:

I have a 2001 Hyundai Accent that makes a fast clicking sound seems like from the fuse box under the hood HELP

As soon as I connect the battery I get a clicking sound coming from the fuse box under the hood even if the key is not in or turned on. The car will start ok but if I leave the battery connected it will drain it. This is very frustrating and I hope someone might be able to help me.
Thanks in advance!

A: have u checked the fuel pump its electric and will click when the key is turned on its del gas to the injectors list for it to see if it might be that you dont have a stethscope to listen we listen with a screwdrive placed on the part and put the ear on the top of the screwdriver it acts as a stethscope good luck (answered by ogdad223 on February 11, 2008)

A: that would be a relay in the fuse box, you need to pin point it and replace. does it still click after the car is started? (answered by shaneinpoco on February 11, 2008)

Q:

Where exactly is the hood plunger / switch located on a 2006 Hyundai Accent?

I'm not 100% sure if I have the terminology down, but what I'm looking for is to locate a little switch (like a plunger) somewhere under the hood of my car (a 2006 Hyundai Accent) that detects when my hood is opened or closed. It's function is comparable to the little plastic knob inside a refrigerator door (when it opens the light goes on, and of course, when it closes the light goes off). Same idea, except for the hood of a car.

I don't know if it'll help you to answer my question, but the reason I'm looking for this hood plunger / switch is because I need to manually press it in order to program my remote starter keychain & the manual (also verified by a technical support rep. from the manufacturer of the remote starter) states I have to press it as part of the programming steps.

If you can include a digital picture of where this is located that would be an instant BEST ANSWER.

A: The switch is located under the hood next to the right fender. The rubber piece is attached to the hood and pushes it down when it's closed. It's called a pad lid switch by hyundai. Look just behind the right headlamp. Sorry no picture, could not copy it. (answered by Andy T on January 17, 2009)

A: Hi
It is fitted on the slam panel that's the panel that the hood lock is in (answered by rodregos on January 15, 2009)

Q:

A: why would anyone want to own a hyundai -- much less a 95 hyundai accent? Why not just drive a pile of crap? (answered by ColoRockies30 on May 06, 2006)
